EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Luke began his educational journey in 2008 at Jerry Group of School, where he completed his primary education. In 2012, he proceeded to Sonnicity Universal School for his secondary education. During this period, Luke further developed his academic abilities and discovered a stronger inclination toward creativity and visual expression. His secondary school experience helped build his confidence, broaden his perspective, and inspire his interest in pursuing a creative path.
In 2022, Luke gained admission into the University of Benin City, where he is currently pursuing his undergraduate studies. Elijah was one of the most fearless and extraordinary prophets of the 9th century BCE — a man whose unwavering faith, courage, and miracles left a lasting mark on history. Known for boldly defending the worship of Yahweh in a time when many had turned to false gods, his very name means, “Yahweh is my God.” Today, Elijah is honored across Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and the Druze faith as a symbol of spiritual strength and divine purpose.
Born in Tishbe in the rugged land of Gilead, Elijah emerged during one of Israel’s darkest spiritual periods. The kingdom was ruled by the powerful but corrupt King Ahab and Queen Jezebel, who promoted the worship of Baal and persecuted the prophets of God. Standing almost alone against an entire nation’s rebellion, Elijah became a fearless voice of truth.
His life was filled with dramatic miracles and unforgettable moments. He declared a devastating drought over the land as a warning against idolatry, and for three and a half years no rain fell. Yet even in isolation, Elijah experienced miraculous provision — ravens brought him bread and meat beside the brook Cherith, and later, a poor widow’s tiny supply of flour and oil never ran out while he stayed with her during the famine.
Elijah’s most legendary moment came on Mount Carmel, where he challenged 450 prophets of Baal in a breathtaking test of power. As the false prophets failed to call down fire from heaven, Elijah prayed with complete faith — and God answered instantly, sending fire that consumed even the water-soaked sacrifice. The event became one of the Bible’s most powerful demonstrations of faith triumphing over fear and deception.
But Elijah’s story did not end in death. After passing his prophetic mantle to his devoted disciple Elisha, he was taken to heaven in a whirlwind accompanied by a blazing chariot of fire — one of the most awe-inspiring departures recorded in scripture.
More than a prophet, Elijah remains a timeless symbol of courage, faith, perseverance, and unwavering devotion to God in the face of impossible odds.
