Dee Brown is a multifaceted entrepreneur, award-winning producer, director, writer, best-selling author, talk show host, and philanthropist. He is the Founder and CEO of The P3 Group, Inc., the nation’s largest African American–owned public-private partnership real estate development firm. Through his leadership, The P3 Group has grown into a national platform encompassing more than 32 companies engaged in real estate development, entertainment, community development, and hospitality.
Early Life and Education
Dee Brown was raised in Clarksdale, Mississippi, where he graduated from Clarksdale High School. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Memphis and an MBA from Bethel University. Brown’s rise in the business world was not without challenges. Growing up in a modest household, he witnessed the transformative power of education through his mother’s dedication to learning, which she used to help lift the family out of poverty. In elementary school, Brown struggled with reading comprehension, but he channeled this challenge into motivation for his ambitions. By the age of 25, Brown had already become a prominent figure in the real estate industry, owning Tennessee’s largest African American–owned real estate firm, though his path included significant struggles and setbacks.
