Shittul Moona(born in December 3)[1] is Bangladeshi writer and reciter, known for her distinctive voice, literary recitations, and notable contributions to Bangla cultural and media programs. She is widely recognized in the media as Mona Chowdhury[2], celebrated for her contributions to Bangla recitation, literature, and performing arts.She has played a significant role in promoting Bangla literature and performing arts through television, radio, and stage performances. As the founder and organizer of Kabyakala[3], a renowned recital organization, she has spearheaded numerous award-winning literary events. Beyond her artistic achievements, she continues to contribute to the welfare of children by encouraging their creative and cultural development.

Early life and background

Moona Chowdhury[4]was born on 3 December 1980 in Chittagong, Bangladesh. Her father is Md. Showket Chowdhury, and her mother is Anowara Begum. She is the granddaughter of Nabi Karim Chowdhury. Her ancestral home is in Afjalpur village, Madhabpur Upazila, Habiganj District, Sylhet Division. She currently resides at Balaka-2, Government Officers’ Quarters, Dhanmondi, Dhaka.

Education and early career

Moona Chowdhury completed her primary education in Chittagong. She passed the SSC examination from Dr. Khastagir Govt. Girls' High School, Chittagong in 1996. He then passed HSC from Agrabad Mohila College, Chittagong . Moona Chowdhury earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in Business Studie from the National University. She joined as a Teacher at Base Excellence School (2007–2010). Later She worked as a Senior Teacher at Saint Jude’s International School & College (2010–2013).
